Conventional Research
The above three families are grouped together because research is continuing by all of them to determine if they are descended from Joseph Blair and Alice Mays. All of researchers on these families seem to agree that George and Noble Blair were brothers but there is no proof that they descend from from Joseph. There is however a great deal of circumstantial evidence to support this belief.

DNA Testing
Two participants descend from Joseph Blair and Alice Mays. One of these (#6800) descends through son Charles while the other (#39271) descends through son Joseph. One participant (#129539) descends from Noble Blair and Abigail Hayden. So far, no one who descends George Blair and Mary Fairchild has tested.

All three participants have tested 25 markers and match each other on at least 23 of 25 markers. The 25 marker mismatches are shown below. #6800 and #129539 have tested 37 markers and match on 34 markers.

The actual marker values for each participant are shown in the table below.

The diagram below show the pedigrees of the two participants based on conventional research.

Conclusions
DNA test results clearly indicate that these three participants share a common ancestor. Whether they all descend from  Joseph Blair and Alice Mays can not be proven from DNA testing but the results support this possibility. All three participants are in Group 3 and are haplogroup R1b1a2.
